Expression of Interest (EOI) / Request for Information (RFI) for Supply, Delivery of Goods, and Provision of Services

1. Introduction

Shanta Mining Company Limited (SMCL), a subsidiary of Shanta Gold, operates the New Luika Gold Mine located in Southwest Tanzania in the Songwe Region. In addition to New Luika, SMCL also operates the Singida Gold Mine located in the Ikungi District of the Singida Region. For more information, visit www.shantagold.com.

The purpose of this Expression of Interest (EOI) / Request for Information (RFI) is to explore the market for competent suppliers with the requisite knowledge, technical skills, and financial capacity to supply and deliver goods and services.

This EOI/RFI seeks to prequalify or shortlist capable suppliers and service providers. It does not constitute an invitation to tender. Only those suppliers and service providers deemed qualified by SMCL will be invited to submit tenders for the supply, delivery of goods, and provision of services.

2. Categories of Goods and Services

SMCL invites eligible suppliers and service providers to express their interest in the following categories of goods and services:

• SMCL/100/025: Supply and delivery of Automotive Gasoline Oil (AGO) at New Luika Gold Mine.

• SMCL/110/025: Provision of laboratory services at New Luika Gold Mine.

• SMCL/120/025: Supply of hoses and fittings at New Luika Gold Mine.

• SMCL/130/025: Supply and delivery of dry and disposable goods.

• SMCL/140/025: Supply and delivery of fish and chicken.

• SMCL/150/025: Supply and delivery of vegetables and fruits.

• SMCL/160/025: Supply and delivery of meat.

3. General Information

SMCL advises interested suppliers and service providers to send a blank email to shanta.eoi@shantamining.co.tz to receive an auto-response email containing a link to a prequalification document.

Applicants are advised to click the link, download the prequalification document, and fill in the required information.

4. Submission

Interested suppliers and service providers must submit Letters of Expression of Interest (EOI), indicating the categories of goods and services they wish to apply for.

All EOIs, supporting documentation, and the completed prequalification document must be received by the SMCL office via the submission link provided in the auto-response email, no later than 08:30 AM, 26th April 2025 (the “EOI Submission Deadline”).
