Job Title: Irrigation Manager from Sugar Manufacturer preferred
Job Overview:
The Irrigation Manager will be responsible for managing and installing irrigation systems, including pivots, drip irrigation, and flood irrigation methods, to optimize water usage and ensure the healthy growth of sugar crops.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Installation: Plan, design, and oversee the installation of various irrigation systems, such as pivot, drip, and flood irrigation
• Maintenance and Repair: Manage the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems to ensure they operate effectively
• Water Management: Develop and implement water budgets and irrigation schedules based on soil, climate, and crop requirements
• Quality Control: Monitor water usage, soil moisture levels, and plant health to ensure efficient irrigation
• Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of irrigation specialists and workers
• Compliance: Ensure all irrigation activities comply with relevant environmental and safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Irrigation Management, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in irrigation management and installation
• Skills: Strong technical knowledge of different irrigation systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective team management.
• Certifications: Certified Agricultural Irrigation Specialist (CAIS) or equivalent certification is preferred but not mandatory
Key Performance Indicators:
• System Efficiency: Level of precision and effectiveness of installed irrigation systems.
• Water Usage Optimization: Ability to minimize water waste and manage water resources effectively
• Maintenance Timeliness: Frequency and timeliness of irrigation system maintenance and repairs
• Production Impact: Positive impact on the growth and yield of sugar crops due to efficient irrigation management.
• Compliance: Adherence to environmental and safety regulations
