1. Introduction

The National Youth Information Centre (NICE) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, registered in 2001, with a vision of empowering Tanzanian youth through access to information and support services. In partnership with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders, NICE is implementing the EpiC project aimed at achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control.

2. Objective of the Tender

NICE seeks to procure car hire services for staff transportation within the Namtumbo, Madaba, and Songea Districts of Ruvuma Region from January 2025 to September 2025.

3. Vehicle Specifications

• Good Condition
• Type: Four-wheel drive
• Capacity: Minimum of 5 passengers
• Insurance: Premium insured
• Driver Requirements:
  • Minimum age: 25 years
  • Valid Class C driving license

4. Scope of Work

The service provider will be required to deliver transport services to NICE’s field offices in the specified districts as directed.

5. Payment Terms

Payment will be made for 10 days per month per district. Vendors are required to quote their price per day for the car hire services.

6. Eligibility Criteria

Interested vendors must meet the following criteria:

• Legally registered entity in Tanzania
• Valid business license, TIN, and VAT registration (if applicable)
• Current tax clearance certificate
• Evidence of at least two (2) similar contracts completed in the last three years

7. Submission Instructions

Proposals must include:

• Company profile
• Copies of registration certificates and tax documents
• Evidence of previous contracts and client references
• Pricing structure indicating the daily rate for car hire services

8. Submission Deadline

All proposals must be submitted via email to tzvijana@gmail.com and nicetz@nice.or.tz by December 11, 2024, at 10:00 PM.
