Eligibility Criteria for the Maastricht University Scholarship:
- Candidates must be from countries outside the EU/EEA, Surinam, or Switzerland.
- You must meet the entry visa and residence requirements for the Netherlands.
- You need to meet the specific requirements of the program you’re applying for.
- You must not have previously enrolled in any higher education program in the Netherlands.
- If you’ve completed an exchange program in the Netherlands, you are welcome to apply.
- You must be under 35 years old by September 1, 2025.

How to apply?
Step 1: Enroll in a Program
- Sign up for a master’s program at Maastricht University (UM) through Studielink and get your student ID.
- After receiving your student ID, submit your scholarship application.
- Ensure you meet all admission criteria before the scholarship deadline.
- You are accountable for paying any program-specific fees, which are due by February 1, 2025.
- Submit a GPA of 7.5 or above, along with a document that explains your grading system.
Step 2: Complete the Scholarship application:
Log in using your UM account and complete the application form.
- Upload the required documents in .doc, .docx, or PDF format, including:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): Maximum of 2 pages, detailing your education and accomplishments.
- Motivation Letter: Follow the provided template.
- Proof of Academic Excellence: Submit your transcript and GPA of 7.5 or higher and a document that will explain your grading system.
- Personal Financial Statement: Describe why you need the scholarship.
