PUBLIC NOTICE ON CAP PRICES FOR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, 4TH SEPTEMBER 2024
Tanzanian motorists will get some relief at the pump as fuel prices have decreased effective from September 4th, 2024.In the procurement of petroleum products, the FOB reference prices are those that prevail in the Arab Gulf market. In September 2024, petroleum products cap prices are based on FOB prices that prevailed in August 2024. Compared to July 2024, the August FOB prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene decreased on average by 7.68%, 6.22% and 6.20%, respectively.
The premiums for the importation of petroleum products decreased by an average of 10.55% for petrol and 13.64% for diesel and an increase in premium by an average of 3.37% for kerosene at Dar es Salaam Port; a decrease in premiums of 4.46% for petrol and diesel at Tanga Port; and decrease in premiums by an average of 14.98% for petrol
and diesel at Mtwara Port

The Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) hereby publishes Cap Prices for petroleum products, applicable in Tanzania Mainland effective from Wednesday, 4th September 2024 at 12:01 am. In September 2024, retail andwholesale prices of petroleum products in Dar es Salaam, Tanga, and Mtwara are depicted in Tables 1 and 2, respectively.
