FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENT
OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SAFEGUARD INSTRUMENTS FOR THE PROJECT

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Malawi have received financing from the GEF through African Development Bank toward the cost of the Multinational Strengthening Transboundary Cooperation and Integrated Natural Resources Management (MSTCINRM) Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for development of environmental and social safeguard instruments for the project.
The services included under this project are to provide consulting services for conducting End of the Project Evaluation and completion report of the Multinational Strengthening Transboundary Cooperation and Integrated Natural Resource Management Project.
The Joint Songwe River Basin Commission now invites eligible Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Individual Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services, with a Master’s degree in Environmental and Social Development or related disciplines Master’s degree or eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in environment and social studies. Experience in the water and social projects is an advantage; Experience in developing and managing the implementation of ESIAs, ESMPs, RAPs in AfDB and other DFI financed projects, Experience in occupational health and safety monitoring and auditing is an added advantage; Experience in working in Malawi and Tanzania would be an added advantage and Fluency in English and Swahili would be desirable.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development “Procurement Framework of October 2015″ which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours from 8:00 am to 17:00 pm (EAT).
Expressions of interest for conducting end of project evaluation and completion report assignment must be delivered to the address below by 4th September 2024 at 11:00am (EAT).
