M/S Meru Agro-Tours & Consultants Co. Ltd (MATCC) is a local private company based in Arusha that specialized in Agricultural inputs business. The company deals with multiplication and distribution of agro seeds; importation and distribution of agrochemicals and provision of technical advisory services on farm input use and management. In addition, the company conducts agricultural research in collaboration with national, regional and international research institutes. In its bid to implements its business development strategies the company is looking for self driving candidates to fill the following vacancies:-
Job Title Accountant (1 Post) – Arusha HQ.
Report to Finance Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Prepare and submit timely tax returns, NSSF and WCF Contributions
- Prepare and keep accurate daily transactions and maintain updated financial system
Qualifications/education
- Must possess at least Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance plus CPA (T).
- Strong technical accounting and financial skills
Experience At least three years experience in finance or accounting in a reputable organization
Remuneration A lucrative package will be offered for the successful candidate commensurate with MATCC scheme of service.
Job Title Accounts Clerk (1 Post) – Arusha HQ.
Report to Finance Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Conduct daily accounting system data entry operations.
2. Provide assistance and support to company staff
3. Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations
Qualifications/education
1. Must possess at least Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
2. Strong technical accounting and financial skills
Experience
At least two years experience in finance or accounting in a reputable organization
Job Title Seed Processing Supervisors (3 Posts) – Mbeya & Sumbawanga
Report to Zonal Operations Manager
Duties and responsibilities
1. Coordinate and supervision seed processing, dressing, stacking, and handling operations
2. Responsible for taking and keeping all records related to stock operation and movements every day
3. Assign daily tasks and supervise workers within the processing plant and prepare required manpower reports
Qualifications/education
1. Holder of Certificate/Diploma in Store Keeping or Material and Logistics Management or Procurement
2. Should have basic knowledge of computer uses and applications such as Ms Office.
Experience
The candidates should have a minimum of one year working experience in supervising warehouse tasks
Job Title Marketing Officers (4 Posts) Arusha, Mbeya & Mpanda
Report to Zonal Managers
Duties and responsibilities
1. Plan and implement seeds and agrochemicals marketing activities within the identified market niches.
2. Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research.
3. Advice on how to improve company offering to the market and provide technical support to customers.
Qualifications/education
1. Holder of B.Sc. in agriculture, agronomy, horticulture, extensions and agri-business.
2. Possession of a valid driving license is a must and shall be ready to travel
Experience
The candidates should have knowledge and working experience in Agro-Input Industry in Tanzania.
Job Title Sales Officers (2 Posts) Arusha & Tabora.
Report to Zonal Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Organize and conducting sales trips, demonstrate and present products to customers.
2. Sells product and developing relationships with prospects and recommending solutions to customers
3. Maintain positive business and customer relationships in the effort to extend customer lifetime value
Qualifications/education
1. Should hold at least form four Certificate, Possession of certificate in Agriculture will be added advantage.
2. Must have a valid driving license class E with at least three years’ experience in driving light trucks.
Experience
The candidates should have a minimum of two year working experience in sales environment
Job Title Store Keepers (2 Posts) – Katavi & Singida Farms,
Report to Farm Manager
Duties and responsibilities
1. Responsible for taking and keeping all records related to daily stock operation and movement as per policies
2. Plans and perform work that involves ordering, receiving, inspecting, loading and off-loading stocks
3. Participate in physical inventory counts in his/her warehouse or store
Qualifications/education
1. Holder of Certificate/Diploma in Store Keeping or Material and Logistics Management or Procurement
2. Should have basic knowledge of computer uses and applications such as Ms Office.
Job Title Seed Production Supervisors (4 Posts) – Katavi & Singida Farms,
Report to Farm Manager
Duties and responsibilities
1. Plan and supervise daily seed production operations ensure Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)
2. Timely prepare daily and weekly farm reports as per company requirements
Qualifications/education
1. Holder of Certificate / Diploma in agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, agronomy, horticulture, Extensions.
2. Experience in seed production will be added advantage
Experience
The candidates should have working experience in Agriculture
Job Title Tractor Drivers/Operators (10 Posts) Katavi & Singida Farms
Report to Farm Manager
Duties and responsibilities
1. Operate and maintain tractors and other farm machinery efficiently and safely
2. Perform routine inspections to identify and report any machinery malfunctions or safety concerns
3. Conduct farm operations such as ploughing, harrowing, planting, harvesting and others as directed
4. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment
Qualifications/education
1. Must possess a clean and valid operator/driving license class “ G”
2. Attended formal training from VETA or any other reputable driving training institute
Experience
The candidates should have at least three years of work experience as a tractor driver/operator in a reputable company
Remuneration
A lucrative package will be offered for the successful candidate commensurate with MATCC scheme of service.
