Experience & Skills required include

• Career training with diploma in hospitality/certificate in housekeeping
• Work experience of not less than 2 years, especially in a hotel environment
• Knowledge in different areas, including bed-making, cleaning & sanitation, restocking amenities, hygiene, waste handling
• Passionate about guest experience
• Ability to speak English and Swahili 
• Team player, works well with others
• Attention to detail
• Happy to work in a remote location like Serengeti

Detail of job to be performed: 

• To ensure the servicing of guest rooms are done to a high standard as per guidelines 
• To interpret the day sheet and prepare rooms according to the required configurations
• To regularly clean all furniture and disinfect all high-touch surfaces
• To launder all linens and towels and store them properly
• To maintain the correct separation of waste as prescribed in the ‘Trash policy’, and to ensure that the waste is correctly disposed of at the back of house area daily
• To maintain good personal hygiene at all times
• To work with Front of House staff to ensure that all guest requests are attended to in a timely manner
• To be responsible for all guest laundry and take part in cleaning duties of the camp, including public areas
• To assist camp supervisor with stocktaking and to liaise with operations manager on supplies ordering
• To maintain and use all camp assets properly
• To ensure a clean and sanitary work area at all times
• To report to the office any maintenance issues that need to be rectified

• To carry out any other reasonable duties as deemed fit by the Camp management.
