QUALIFICATIONS  / EDUCATION

We required a competent and passionate Camp Operations Manager with deep understanding of Tourism Management skills, well organized, details oriented with all camps operations skills.

 

Ø  Degree  of Tourism or Hotel Management at a reputable institution.

Ø  4 –5yrs  experience working as a Camp Operations Manager

Ø  Proven experience as Camp Operations Manager at Serengeti or other national parks

Ø  Knowledge of proper management skills

Ø  Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in Supervision of  Camp operations

Ø  Strong Computer literate as well as competencies in data entry, analysis , Store management, Stock taking and Stores systems.

Ø  Keen attention to details and ability to effectively manage a time

Ø  Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles

Ø  Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

Ø  Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Ø  Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships

Ø  Excellent interpersonal skills

Ø  Very Honest and trustful

Ø  Highly self-motivated

Ø  Strong verbal and written communication skills both English and Swahili

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

 

·         To be in charge of camp managers.

 

·         To make sure that all camps are in a proper and functioning state.  This includes cleanness, layout, staff relations and performance.

 

·         To make sure that, every tent and every camp has all it requires as indicated on the tents/camp checklist and are in a functioning state.

 

·         To manage camps when a needs arise.

 

·         To work with HRM on staff performance and staff complaint issues.

 

·         To give overall camp management reports after compiling reports from camp Managers.

 

·         To conduct stocktaking & properties inventories at all camps at least twice a month

               

 

·         To ensure that, the supplies are sent on time and quality and quantity is emphasized.

 

·         To follow up if suppliers are delivered at camps, on time required.

·         To ensure that, any problem in camps  that requires repairs or maintenance is reported to the management with possible solutions.

 

·         To be responsible to check every items that is purchased by a procurement officer or fundi to agree with the quality / quantity  and check if the receipts reflect on the budget authorized.

 

    SALARY:            Negotiable

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

Required a trustworthy, sharp housekeeper with deep understanding of Housekeeping skills who will performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and washrooms without any supervision. He must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.

 

·         Diploma/Certificate  of Hotel Management

·         At least 2-3 years’ experience  working as Housekeeper at Tourist hotel / Camps

·         Creativity, confident and energetic

  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
  • Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
  • Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipments
  • Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
  • Ability to lift, push and pull required load
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time

Key Responsibilities:

 

·         Enter and prepares the room for cleaning.

 

·         Makes bed.

 

·         Dusts the room and furniture.

 

·         Replenishes guest-room and bath supplies.

 

·         Cleans the washroom.

 

·         Dusts and racks the carpet.

 

·         Checks and secures the rooms.

 

·         Replenish amenities according to the operational standards.

 

·         Deliver and retrieve items to guests e.g. towels, amenities, Shower water

 

·         Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests

 

·         Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. deep clean, spring cleaning, etc.) as required

 

·         Cleans guest washroom/bed room/corridor.

 

·         Responsible for replenishment of guest complimentary water.

 

·         Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of his work area.

 

·         Responsible for the Hotel property in the work area.

 

·         Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him.

 

·         Authorize to enter in guest-rooms for cleaning and providing turndown services as per requirement.

 

·         Responsible for following the standard operating procedures.

 

·    Responsible for archiving and exceeding the guest satisfaction score

 

 

·         SALARY:            Negotiable
