Job Advert – Accountant
On behalf of our client, a dynamic and innovative Printing and Branding Company in Dar es Salaam with more than 10 years’ experience in the industry is looking for a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join their team.
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. Review contracts and agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Monitor cash flow and manage cash flow projections to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits. Provide necessary documentation and support for audit processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and systems. Implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor variances and report on budget performance to management.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management regarding financial performance, trends, and forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis and reports as requested by management. Assist in special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience working as an accountant, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
