The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was established in 1991 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea as a governmental organization for Official Development Assistance.
Acknowledging educational challenges, such as the learning crisis, gender discrimination and the skills gap issue in the developing countries, KOICA has set comprehensive targets that aim to cover quality and inclusive education initiatives, while also focusing on gender equity and the development of relevant skills.
KOICA launched CIAT with the aim of supporting leaders of different areas in developing countries to strengthen their capacity to drive economic and social growth.
CIAT aims to both enhance individual capacities and strengthen organizations & policies for a better future.
- The KOICA Fellowship Program is one of KOICA’s main programs to support partner countries securing the needed human resources for their development. The primary objective of the Fellowship program is to share important technical skills and knowledge as well as to build capacities for sustainable socio-economic development.
CIAT has established partnerships with a multitude of public organizations, research institutes, universities and others in Korea to offer quality training programs.
