JOB DETAILS:
Role’s Summary:
To Support the Operations Manager in coordinating all hospitality and guest experience to our Company Clients. The incumbent assists with the development of quality programs in the allocated camp.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• To monitor and maintain camp operations and overhead costs in order to maintain maximum revenue of the Company under products and services available at the camp.

• Working closely with the operations manager to ensure smooth running of the day-to- day camp operations.

•Lead, Manage, Teach and coach camp teams, including support members, food service, housekeeping, maintenance and other team members.

•Greet and briefing basic information to guests, visitors or clients.

•Resolve customer complaints or problems

•Monitor petty cash activity of the camp.

•Managing movement of staff according to company policy.

•Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures;

•To communicate effectively with the company’s reservation team to ensure the effective service delivery to the clients as per company standards.

•To work closely with the Inventory and purchasing managers and their team.

•Menus, food quality and food presentation.

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS
Education:
• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Hospitality tourism or any related field.
• 3 years’ experience as a Camp Manager.
• Proven proficiency in computerized applications to Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint').
• Full understanding of the East African Travel market, Its products and logistical aspects.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Experience and Skills;
• A passion for the industry, a positive attitude and the ability to think out of the box.
• Informed decision-making ability imperative.
• A sound ability to both strategize and implement actions is key.
• Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders, guests and staff in all situations.

• Team player who demonstrates the ability to build and develop successful team relationships, and assist where required cross departmentally to ensure the seamless operation and growth of the company.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a group.
