1. Introduction

BRAC is an award-winning international non-governmental development organization, with the vision of a world free from all forms of exploitation and discrimination, where everyone has the opportunity to realize their potential. BRAC is a leader in developing and implementing cost-effective, evidence- based programs to assist poor and disadvantaged communities in low-income countries, including in conflict-prone and post-disaster settings. It is an organization of and for the people of the Global South, pioneering new development and social enterprise approaches to equip communities to achieve prosperity. As well as being the world’s biggest NGO by number of staff and people directly reached, BRAC has regularly been ranked the number one NGO in the world by the Geneva-based NGO Advisor, an independent organization committed to highlighting innovation, impact, and governance in the non-profit sector. BRAC retained the top spot in 2020 among the top 500 NGOs for the fifth consecutive year.

BRAC Tanzania therefore seeks to have qualified vendors, dealing with supply of the following categories of goods, service, and consultancy as per the explanations in this advertisement.

2. Objective of this RFI

The primary and core objective is to get the better vendors which will fulfil the mentioned services to BRAC Tanzania with reasonable price and good quality.

3. Deliverables

Brae Tanzania would like to obtain the mentioned above service from the following regions, Dar es salaam & Pwani, Morogoro, Dodoma, Tanga, Kilimanjaro, Arusha, Singida, Iringa, Njombe, Mbeya & Songwe, Kagera, Shinyanga, Tabora, Mwanza, Simiyu and Zanzibar where our offices are currently operating.

1. TIN & VAT Certificates.
2. Certificate of incorporation
3. At least two years working experience in this kind of services.
4. Updated Tax clearance
5. Invitation of Proposals

The proposals need and requirements for this assignment is to have the qualified company, with capability to deliver the required service to BRAC Tanzania within the specified regions up on the agreed timeline. Therefore, you are invited to submit your proposals consisting of the following: –

1. About the Company: Physical address; Company Profile; Certificate of Incorporation; and a valid business license;
2. About Tax: Certificate of Registration for Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN); Certificate of Registration for Value Added Tax (VAT); and latest Tax Clearance Certificate;
3. Accreditations: certificates of accreditation by various authorities (where applicable) or specific industry licenses, if so required;
4. NSSF Registration (for registered companies); and
5. Audited reports and financial statements of the latest two to three years.
6. Memorandum/Article of Association(MEMART) if any
7. Deadline of Receiving Proposals

The deadline of receiving proposals is 17:00hrs of 09thFebruary 2024.

7. Submission Procedure

The proposals should be by sealed envelope to BRAC Tanzania P.0. Box 105213 Natai Plaza, Coca-Cola Road Light Industrial Area – Mikocheni Dar es salaam or via email to admintanzania@brac.net and should quote the category name, title and number as per the above mentioned categories.

8. Policies
   Safeguarding policy: BRAC is against all forms of sexual harassment, child and adolescent abuse, intimidation, violence, bullying and discrimination, neglect and exploitation is part of BRAC sees that, protecting people is one of its primary tasks closely connected to its core values of respecting human dignity, integrity, and inclusiveness. BRAC also knows that if it guards the safety of its people and the communities it serves; its anti-poverty work will be more BRAC staff and/or any party engaged with BRAC are under the duty to report any suspected misconduct or misbehaviour (sexual harassment, intimidation, bullying, violence, discrimination, neglect, and exploitation).
9. Environmental policy: BRAC policy is to purchase products and services, which have the least negative impact on the environment. Environmental considerations covering manufacture, transport, packing, use and disposal of goods form part of BRAC Tanzania evaluation and selection criteria.
10. Money laundering: BRAC will not do business with anyone who is exchanging money or assets that were obtained criminally for money or other assets that are ‘clean’.
11. Terrorists: BRAC will not do any business with any known terrorist group or company involved in any way with terrorists. BRAC Tanzania shall therefore not knowingly purchase goods or services from companies that are involved with terrorist groups in any form. If you submit a bid based on this request, it shall constitute a guarantee that neither your company nor any affiliate nor a subsidiary controlled by your company is not involved with any known terrorist group. A contract clause confirming this will be included in an eventual purchase order based on this request.

4. Qualifications and Experience Required

Interested company or business firm should have: – a. A valid business licence updated 2023-2024 .
