- Overview
Social Action Trust Fund (SATF) has experience of 25 years in providing care and support services to most vulnerable children and address the impact resulted by HIV/ AIDS and poverty in Tanzania. The Trust was capitalized by the United States Agency for Development (USAID) and settled by the Government of United Republic of Tanzania since 1998. The Trust is currently operating in 19 regions and 36 districts of Tanzania Mainland. Main interventions include education, health, child protection and household economic strengthening in line with the national guidelines on support to Most Vulnerable children in Tanzania.
SATF collaborates with grassroots organizations to reach out the needy beneficiaries. In the financial year 2024 SATF intends to recruit new implementing partners in Ikungi, Singida region and Tanganyika in Katavi region or Sikonge in Tabora region.
To achieve the above objective, SATF is now inviting Concept Notes from the registered and active grassroots organizations operating in Ikungi, Singida and Tanganyika in Katavi region or Sikonge in Tabora region to implement interventions targeting to increase access to basic services ie education, health child protection as well as building economic resilience at the household level.
- Who is eligible to apply?
The call for expression of interest is open to all grassroots organizations, located in the respective Districts meeting the below criteria.
- Be legally registered in Tanzania and have capacity to operate in respective districts.
- Have been active for at least 3 years in operation.
- Have a physical office at the regional level or in the mentioned districts.
- Provide evidence of successful implementation interventions falling under at least one of SATF core intervention such as education, health, child protection as well as household economic strengthening
- Be directly responsible for the management and implementation of the grant, not acting as an intermediary.
- Contents of the application
Submit details of your organization, including.
Organization name; year of establishment; year of registration; previous and current donors; previous and current projects/programs with focus on children and/or MVC- centered programs/projects; organization contacts and number of staffs; Type of the project proposed and amount of funds requested; Magnitude of MVC problem in your area, supported with evidence; Broad program/project objective; Brief description of desired activities and outcomes; What is unique about your program/ project (innovation); Monitoring plan; Evidence of past and current experience in working with Local Government Authorities and other key stakeholders in supporting the MVC.
Size of the Concept Note should be 3-5 max’pages, submitted electronically through the below email.
- How will the Concept Note be evaluated?
Applications will be evaluated based on how closely it will contribute towards SATF objectives. Only successful applicants will be contacted to submit full proposals.
- When is the deadline for submission?
