NBC Premier League: John Bocco Outguns Ruvu Shooting as Simba Climbs to the Top of Ligi Kuu Bara
The 21 times Tanzania Top flight League champions, Simba SC have surged to top of the NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League / Ligi Kuu Bara after a 4-0 victory against Ruvu Shooting on Saturday night at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, following an inspired performance by Captain John Bocco who bagged a hat trick.
The Msimbazi Giants dominated and set the tone for the match from the first whistle to the last whistle.
Simba SC's 4 goals were scored by Captain John Raphael Bocco three times; in the fourth, 18th and 69th minutes and the veteran defender, Shomari Kapombe in the 36th minute.
Following the resounding victory, Simba SC have now reached 27 points , after their 12th game of the season and they return to the top of the league standings, one point ahead of the defending champions, Yanga SC, who also have two matches in hand to play.
On the other hand, Ruvu Shooting remain in 13th place with their 11 points from 13 matches.
