Colombia vs Tanzania 'Serengeti Girls' : FIFA Under 17 women's Finals Quarterfinal
Tanzania's Under 17 Women's National team 'Serengeti Girls' will take on Colombia today Afternoon at 2 PM East African team in FIFA Under 17 women's Finals Quarterfinal action. The Match will be screened live on DSTV - Supersport Channel 228.
The Serengeti Girls advanced to the quarter finals after finishing second in the group 'D' standings after reaching four points behind leaders Japan who finished first with nine points.
Serengeti Girls Group had teams from Japan, France and Canada. The Tanzania Women's under 17 National teams started its campaign in the championship by losing 4-0 to the Champions of this Cup 2014, Japan then won 2-1 with France and then drew 1-1 with Canada.
As an outcome of these results, it became official that Serengeti Girls will meet Colombia, who finished top of Group C with six points, at the quarter-final stage, a game that will be played on October 22 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Tanzania qualified for the FIFA Under 17 women's Finals by beating Botswana with a total of 11-0, Burundi 4-1 and Cameroon 5-1 thus joining two other teams from the African continent which are Morocco and Nigeria.
